This weeks WoW is...
Sixteen-year-old Evening Spiker lives an affluent life in San Francisco with her mother, EmmaRose, a successful geneticist and owner of Spiker Biotech. Sure, Evening misses her father who died mysteriously, but she’s never really questioned it. Much like how she’s never stopped to think how off it is that she’s never been sick. That is, until she’s struck by a car and is exposed to extensive injuries. Injuries that seem to be healing faster than physically possible.
While recuperating in Spiker Biotech’s lush facilities, she meets Solo Plissken, a very attractive, if off-putting boy her age who spent his life at Spiker Biotech. Like Evening, he’s never questioned anything... until now. Solo drops hints to Evening that something isn’t right, and Emma-Rose may be behind it. Evening puts this out of her mind and begins her summer internship project: To simulate the creation of the perfect boy. With the help of Solo, Evening uncovers secrets so big they could change the world completely.

Michael Grant's gory Gone series is one of my absolute favorite series OF ALL TIME, and Katherine Applegate is also one of my favorite authors, so I guess it's no surprise I can't wait to read this!! I also can't wait to see what their totally different writing styles are like when meshed together into one book!!
What are you waiting on? :D

The cover alone has me sold!! Check out my WoW.

I am totally with you on this one. Unfortunately, it can't be requested on Edelweiss unless you have a code from BEA, but I want it so badly it hurts. The cover is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI adore the Gone series too so can't wait to get my hands on this. Amazing pick! It's a shame the Edelweiss copy is for the people who were at BEA only. I got my hope up when I saw it there. ;)
ReplyDeleteI echo the others why can't everyone get a copy! This one sounds fantastic! Thanks for sharing your pick Riya! Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteI love Michael Grant and this book sounds soo good! Great choice!

ReplyDeleteThis one sounds good albeit a little like The Adoration Of Jenna Fox.

ReplyDeleteWeird... I think I've commented already in this post and your review of Don't You Wish, Riya! Maybe they got into spam filter? So strange... O.o
ReplyDeleteAnyway, LOVE your pick, Riya! <3 I can't wait for this book either - it sounds utterly fabulous! The cover is SOOOO beautiful! I haven't read any book by the author, but I'm planning to read Gone series someday! Everyone seems to love it so much! x)

ReplyDeleteWhy do you always pick the BEST books for me to drool over, Riya?! (Not that that's a bad thing, of course!) Another fabbity-doo pick this week <3 I can't wait for this either - the synopsis is so intriguing! Hopefully we'll both get the chance to read it soon <3
ReplyDeleteI've never read Michael Grant's Gone series, but oh my gosh, do I ever need to now!! You had me sold when you said it was one of your favourites of all time, Riya! And considering that he's co-writing this book too (as well as another one of your fave authors), I think that their brilliances will probably make another appearance -- in short, you just made me more excited to read ALL of his books than ever! :')
ReplyDeleteAMAZING pick for your WOW this week, Riya! I hope you manage to get your hands on this one soon -- I'm so excited to read your review! :) <3
