"I dare you..."
If anyone knew the truth about Beth Risk's home life, they'd send her mother to jail and seventeen-year-old Beth who knows where. So she protects her mom at all costs. Until the day her uncle swoops in and forces Beth to choose between her mom's freedom and her own happiness. That's how Beth finds herself living with an aunt who doesn't want her and going to a school that doesn't understand her. At all. Except for the one guy who shouldn't get her, but does...
Ryan Stone is the town golden boy, a popular baseball star jock-with secrets he can't tell anyone. Not even the friends he shares everything with, including the constant dares to do crazy things. The craziest? Asking out the Skater girl who couldn't be less interested in him.
But what begins as a dare becomes an intense attraction neither Ryan nor Beth expected. Suddenly, the boy with the flawless image risks his dreams-and his life-for the girl he loves, and the girl who won't let anyone get too close is daring herself to want it all...

This is, without doubt, one of my top-five most highly anticipated novels of 2013. I'm a little sad this doesn't seem to focus on Beth and Isaiah's relationship, but knowing Katie, I have complete trust and faith that Dare You To will be just as good as Pushing the Limits, if not better!
What are you waiting on? :)

Netgalley had this out and I hesitated requesting it since it was the UK version. May have to reconsider. Good choice!

I wasn't a huge fan of PTL but I think that just had to do with the timeframe that I read it in. I am super curious about this one!
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to read this one as well! I got it through Netgalley but I wanted to read it a little closer to the release. Wonderful choice. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved first book. I have ARC of this one - can't wait to read it.
ReplyDeleteSeeing a LOT of this! Just like I did with the first book. Although contemps really aren't for me. Hope you love this one as much as the first!
ReplyDeleteHere's my WoW
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I was a little said Isaiah too, but I've heard great things about the new characters we will meet in this! I trust the author to make it work. She did, after all, make me like Pushing the Limits when I rarely enjoy dramatic contemporary books like that. ;) I can't wait to read this! Brilliant pick, Riya. :)
ReplyDeleteI feel so alone, because I'm practically the only one who isn't looking forward to this book :p But I hope you're going to love it once you get to read it!
ReplyDeleteMel@thedailyprophecy.
I am super excited for this one too.
ReplyDeleteHope you get to read it soon!

I was a bit surprised it wasn't about Isaiah as well, but I'm sure it'll still be a great read! I liked Pushing the Limits (though I didn't love it) so I'm looking forward to Dare You To! Great pick :).
ReplyDeleteUFAOPIFHPAOFJA I'm pretty sure EVERYONE is dying to read this book! It sounds so amazing I can't even. <3 AWESOME pick this week, Riya! <3
ReplyDeleteI loved the sample of this one and am hopeful that I'll love it more than Pushing the Limits, which was a book I liked.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice! I have an arc of this and I can't wait to read it.

ME TOO RIYA!!! I cannot wait for this book! Pushing The Limits was just amazing and I'm absolutely obsessed with Katie McGarry now. I wanted Beth to be with Isaiah as well, but like you, I have total faith that Katie will make this book everything I want it to be:)
ReplyDeleteEEEEEEP! Couldn't agree more with your choice this week, Riya! I'm a massive fan of Katie McGarry, and Pushing the Limits was one of my favorite reads last year.
ReplyDeleteDare You To looks phenomenal. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy! I hope you get yours asap. I have no doubt that this book will be just as good as PTL. :D
I can't wait for this one! PTL was absolutely amazing and I enjoyed every moment of it. I hope you enjoy it when it comes out. WHY IS MAY SO FAR AWAY!? D:
